Letter from a Japanese student who studied at the Carl Duisberg Language Centre Sheffield from March 2004 until March 2005. He is going to study at Leeds' University in September.
At the end of may. 2004,
I arrived in Sheffield again.
I have been to Sheffield twice.
The first time was for the experience of it. and this time is because
I plan to go to university in Britain.
My English was terrible when I came here in 2004, and at the time I
could not think that I would not be able to go to university in England, but
It`s done.
Thats because CDC`s teachers helped me a lot and They are really kind
to as students.
So My English was getting better after 2 or 3 months.
I could not listen to, spoken English with understanding Even better
Icould enjoy English life.
Its amazing to look back to when I firt came here and I could not understand
or speak much English at all.
Anyway I have Found that we can study English or anything else, happily
in Sheffield at CDC.
In Sheffield.
We have everything, pubs, students. The British streets which I think
are great and the countryside.
And the surrounding of Sheffield.
We have the cities,Leeds, York,Manchester(famous for football)
Liverpool( famous for The Beatles)
Blackpool(famous for Ballroom dancing "Shall we dance?")
All of these are just 1 or 2 hours away.
I want to say that It is very possible to enjoy the English lifestyle,
and enjoy studying English.
Because I did it. at CDC.
I am going to university in Leeds in september so.........
Lets study English together.
Come to Sheffield.
See you in England, Sheffield.
